- The
Calvosa Organization is a leader in “green” building on Long Island. Locust Cove at
Oakdale is the first Energy Star Compliant Community for over-55
residents on Long Island. “To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet guidelines
for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to
the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional
energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient
than standard homes.”
- The
Calvosa Organization is also developing a new 14 home community called
Pineaire Estates. Look for more information on this energy efficient
development, on a cul-de-sac in Bayshore, to follow soon.
- The
Calvosa Organization is proud to have been chosen as a winner in the
Long Island Builders Institute 2005 Home of the Year Competition in the
Custom Luxury Home Category.
